As owners of a couple of hounds ourselves, we can appreciate the concern and hassle when travelling with pets. Picture yourself embarking on a relaxing holiday by the beach, car fully packed with music blaring, the weather a toasty 30° + with the sea breeze in your hair; but all you can focus on is hearing your pooch panting in the back, tossing and turning in discomfort whilst laying on the hot seat, scratching at the door. Frustrating, huh?

If this sounds like a relatable experience; we hear you, it is all too familiar to us pet owners. Having experienced these difficulties ourselves we set out to change the game, looking at creating a product that ensures an enjoyable experience for both hound and pet-parent alike.

Like us humans, pets also have needs, and travelling in comfort or lazing about in the house is no different. Having witnessed the challenges travelling can create for both pets and owners, we focused on several details we wanted to get right, making it easier for you too!

·       Safety: When going for a ride around town or long family trips, having your pet safely restrained goes a long way for peace of mind; knowing you can focus on the road whilst they’re comfortable in their own private luxury dwelling. The last thing we wanted was for our precious Pomeranian to become a metaphorical bowling ball in the event of an accident, the booster bed providing safety for hound and human alike!

What is a booster bed?

The Boujee Booster is The Happiest Hound’s very own dog palace, built to fit seamlessly into your vehicle whilst boasting a sleek design that employs earthy tones to work in a range of other settings too. The booster features removable straps that can fix to your car seat, ensuring it is unable to slide or move when attached. Underneath the uber comfortable cushion is a tether that attaches to our harnesses, providing whole body support to prevent excessive pulling on the neck area whilst keeping your hound restrained to their booster.

It sounds fantastic, but how do you clean the booster?

The booster features useful zips that enclose the cushioning within, allowing for the outer material to be washed individually. Whilst our products are sturdy and able to be washed, we recommend hand washing them to maximise their longevity and not excessively wear the material over time. Both the harnesses and leads are able to be machine washed however.
